San José del Cabo Dining

Known for fine food in eclectic settings, San José's best restaurants are well worth the drive. At La Panga Antigua, a colonial hacienda sets the stage for fresh seafood. Beautifully designed Morgan's Restaurant & Cellar has memorable meals with Tuscan and Provencal touches. A few blocks away, Morgan's Encore offers continental dining with rooftop seating for yet another special evening. A favorite for its innovative menu and well-stocked bar, Tequila Restaurant marries Mediterranean, Mexican and Asian cuisine in a gorgeous patio setting.

On the main square, Damiana's Baja-style cuisine and enchanting patio garners praise from Bon Appetit. A few doors down, a torch-lit terrace and winning eclectic menu brings diners to adult-oriented Mi Cocina. Harder to find, but definitely worth the trouble, is El Chilar, where a contemporary twist on traditional Mexican cuisine gets rave reviews from a loyal clientele. At Plaza Mision, Local 8 is the place for delicious Nouveau cuisine in soulful surroundings.
